Chiltern Railways has been named best train company in The Guardian newspaper’s travel awards.
The awards highlight the best experiences of travel enjoyed by readers of The Guardian, Observer and the Guardian’s website.
The results are based on average customer satisfaction levels, not votes.
A questionnaire asked readers about their travel habits in the past 12 months and how satisfied they were with the customer service.
The average satisfaction with Chiltern’s services was 83.5 per cent.
