Work has started on a new business centre at Grove Technology Park, Wantage. Glenmore Commercial Estates will build 18 high quality industrial and business units ranging from 988 sq ft upwards. The scheme will total 23,986 sq ft.

Units are to be offered on either virtual freehold, or leasehold terms, with completion set for November. The scheme is set in a landscaped environment on an established business park.

Jon Silversides, director at agents Lambert Smith Hampton said: "Our clients have now commenced the construction of the scheme, for which we have already received an encouraging level of interest.

"We are finding occupiers are attracted to Wantage as a location but are frustrated by the lack of new build opportunities, particularly to purchase."

Meanwhile, Minton Developments has completed the comprehensive refurbishment of its scheme at Banbury Business Park which it acquired in January.

Formerly known as Somerville Court, Minton Court has now been extensively refurbished by MEB Builders, and provides individual self-contained offices, both to buy and to let, from 1,563 sq ft upwards.

Mr Silversides added: "The opportunity to acquire offices below 3000 sq ft is very limited in the north Oxfordshire area and we believe not only is the specification first rate but also the pricing policy very competitive."
