Sir – Your story Party near village keeps city awake (Report, September 23) was an excellent example of police and local councils working together for the detriment of the local community.
Together they provide evidence that democracy is a farce, played out at the expense of the majority, for the benefit of a small, but powerful, minority who remain in office regardless of how often the population vote them out.
