MOTORISTS have been warned to be cautious tonight after the Met Office warned of potential flash-flooding.

Forecasters are warning of an 80 per cent chance of heavy rain with up to 30mm falling between 7pm and 1am.

The rain is expected to sweep up into the county from the south-west.

That could lead to flash-flooding, said a Met Office spokesman, and motorists in particular should take care.

It will continue to rain tomorrow but should not be as heavy, the spokesman said.
