Step back in time this weekend and take part in a medieval festival. Joust is a family event in the grounds of one of England's most celebrated castles, Berkeley, in Gloucestershire.
Apart from jousting displays, you will be able to witness a castle siege and booming cannon displays. You can also wander the massive Living History Village on the Mediaeval Island.
Ancient hunting skills, including falconry, will be an attraction, as will the medieval market.
The acclaimed singing group the Mediaeval Baebes will be entertaining visitors, so will strolling actors, wandering minstrels and medieval dance troupes.
The Medieval Learning Zone offers an insight into the other side of feudal times crime and punishment, the plague and other diseases.
Advance tickets are available adults £10, children from four to 14 £4, children under four free. On the gate tickets are £13 and £6.
Joust is open tomorrow and Sunday, 10am to 6pm, and again on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30.
Joust at Berkeley is ten minutes from Junction 14 on the M5 and has ample free parking.
