OXFORD School has unveiled its new name — Oxford Spires Academy.
The school in Glanville Road, East Oxford, will reopen in January as an academy, and must be re-named as part of the procedure.
Academy status will free the school’s finances and curriculum from Oxfordshire County Council control.
The proposed academy is being sponsored by the CfBT Education Trust in partnership with Oxford and Cherwell Valley College and the county council.
