Sir – While councillor Tanner admonishes residents for sending far too much to landfill, the city itself sends thousands of recyclable bottles and cans to landfill from the city parks.
The cost of installing differentiated litter bins and arranging the collection of recyclables would surely be more than covered by the reduction in landfill fines.
It would also mean the city would be practising what it preaches!
