Scorpio Motorsport driver Will Bratt produced an excellent drive at Croft Circuit to reaffirm his status as a genuine Formula Renault UK front-runner, with fourth position in round ten of the series.

Bratt, 18, from Adderbury, made a faultless start from sixth on the grid and having made some changes to the set-up following Saturday's round nine, the decision by Scorpio was clearly a good one as Bratt visibly had a quicker car underneath him and with the pace to push towards the podium positions.

On lap eight, the complexion of the race changed slightly when the Safety Car was deployed after two cars collided at the hairpin at the end of lap seven.

At the re-start on lap 11, Bratt maintained fourth position and although coming under some pressure during the first couple of racing laps, the Apotex Pharmaceuticals-backed star managed to maintain enough of a gap to keep a firm grip on fourth place, his third top four result of the season.

Bratt said: "I made a great start to pass (Sam) Bird and then I almost got (Richard) Keen as well but when he ran wide into the gravel on lap two I made my move to get fourth place.

"We had very good pace early on in the race, the team did a good job with my car, but after the Safety Car period our performance began to drop off a little bit, so rather than try to challenge Cheng (Cong Fu) for third, I had to make sure I held on to fourth."
