Burglars used a tool to force their way into a house off Oaksmere, Appleton, and stole jewellery and an iPod.
The break-in happened between 11am and 7pm on Monday.
PC Maria Morrisey said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, who might have seen or heard anything suspicious.”
