CHRIS ROBINS’S letter (Mail, July 16) exposes Labour isolation.

In frustration he levels accusations against bankers.

But did any Labour spokespeople protest against an increasingly convoluted global financial system?

The critical condition of this country is directly attributable to the left wing politics pursued by Labour, with scant opposition.

Mr Robins correctly senses little difference between major parties.

Labour cowed people with political correctness, created a multitude of useless jobs and threw huge amounts of taxpayers’ money at the undeserving. And worse, involved us in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And wasn’t it strange no-one, prior to signing the Lisbon Treaty swindle, detected financial collapse of any EU state.

Mr Robins blithely mentions deficit. Presumably, by deficit, he means Labour spending that massively exceeded income; then their sanctioning of money for banks whose errors they missed.

Talking up employment won’t wash either. Officially unemployment in May was 2.47 million. Unofficially, it is anyone’s guess – like the number of immigrants and asylum seekers. An estimate of £4.9 trillion for total debt mean we could lose our international credit rating.

Unfortunately, after Labour’s 13 years we had a chance to rethink Britain’s future and we acquired their political cousins.
