CHILDREN will have the chance to step back in time at Oxford Castle over the weekend — and become a knight in shinning armour.
The Knight School will take place on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 4pm both days. Visitors can drop in and take part throughout the day.
Emily Hirons, the visitor centre manager at Oxford Castle Unlocked, said: “We wanted to take visitors back in time and experience what life was like here when the castle was used as a home for royalty. The Knight School is one of the events taking place throughout our medieval-themed summer.”
Children, who must be accompanied by an adult, will be able to try on armour and take part in sword fighting classes. Tickets for the Knight School are £5 per child.
