Sir – In initiating the turning off of speed cameras in Oxfordshire, David Cameron and the county council must take moral responsibility for future deaths and injuries and costs of accidents which the record of the last decade shows have been saved by the impact of the speed cameras.
Even very experienced drivers, sent by being caught by speed cameras on better driving courses, greatly appreciated what they learned.
