I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank all those ex-servicemen, standard bearers and the general public who attend the repatriation ceremonies for fallen servicemen who come to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Hedley Way, Headington.

Today it will be two years since our first attendance, over which time 80 ceremonies have been held and some 161 personnel have been repatriated.

At least three more are to return over the next few days.

Our hearts go out to the relatives. They are not forgotten.

Again, through your pages, I would like to thank the escorts who have shown great respect to the standards and followers and a special thanks to the police for the help and understanding.

Our sincere thanks must go also to SS Gregory and Augustine Church, in Headley Way for allowing us to use the car park.

STAN WHITE
