ONE of the main entrances to Milton Park trading estate near Didcot will be closed for three months as engineers replace the Potash Lane Rail bridge.

The work will cause long delays for nearby villagers and commuters at the park, who will be diverted down the A4310 to get to work.

The current bridge, which links the 250-acre Milton Park to the A34 Milton Interchange, is not strong enough to cope with heavy lorries, and was described as “not fit for purpose” by Network Rail.

A new bridge will be installed between October and January next year, forcing engineers to close the business park entrance and the road to Milton and Sutton Courtenay.

More than 6,500 people work at 165 businesses at Milton park making it one of Europe’s largest science centres.
