Sir – On Monday, June 7, the Witney Woodland Volunteers were doing their customary weeding and litter clearing in the town, and on that day, beside the footpath bordering the Witan Way mill stream, opposite Waitrose.
We were feeling pretty hot and tired after a couple of hours. Along came Dawn on her bicycle and handed out choc ices to all the members, to thank us for our hard work.
We don’t know who Dawn is, so hope this letter will reach her, and thank her for her generosity. This sort of appreciation makes our weekly weeding session seem really worthwhile.
