Sir – Through your newspaper, I hope that you will allow me to express my gratitude to those MG owners who, despite the poor weather, joined us, the Abingdon Works Centre of the MG Car Club, at the Abingdon Air & Country Show on Dalton Barracks last month in a record number.
Through the efforts of those attending, we will be able to donate £1,000 to the show’s charity, the Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance. It was more poignant this year since two of our members were airlifted to hospital by the air ambulance earlier this year, following a road accident on New Year’s Day.
Throughout the year, we will have a collection bucket at all the events we attend and would welcome donations to this very worthy cause. Thank you all for your continued support.
