Police were today quizzing a 17-year-old boy following reports of a serious sexual assault in a town park.

Officers cordoned off Albert Park at around midnight on Friday and forensics teams were examining the area until Saturday lunchtime.

It followed reports of a serious sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl in the park.

Initially, police arrested a 16-year-old boy, who was later released on bail.

A spokesman said on Sunday a 17-year-old had also been arrested and was being questioned by detectives.
