Cutteslowe Community Association (CCA) is a thriving community-focused charity, which seeks to work with local residents, local voluntary and statutory agencies and funding bodies to provide resources, care and support so that the community can grow and flourish.

Residents in and around the Cutteslowe area of North Oxford can benefit by accessing:

  • An Explore Arts programme (see picture right)
  • A Seniors’ club
  • Youth groups
  • An allotment
  • Monthly lunch café
  • An ease into exercise class
  • A coach mentoring scheme
  • A summer play-scheme.

CCA run these activities to engage as many sections of the community as possible, with specific projects targeted to support children, young people, families and older people, as well as regular inclusive ventures.

If you like the sound of working with CCA to improve your local community, make an inquiry about getting involved. CCA are always keen to recruit volunteers to help ensure the smooth operation of their range of activities. Opportunities include supporting young people on a one-to-one basis to help them attain an Arts Award qualification, providing assistance on seniors’ trips (drivers are especially valued), and helping with general, basic building maintenance.

CCA are also looking to recruit new trustees, and are particularly keen to find someone who would be willing to take on the role of chairman.

Time commitments for the various voluntary roles are flexible, requiring on average a couple of hours a week, and offer the opportunity to acquire new skills and experiences, make a positive contribution and (hopefully) have fun!

Anyone interested in volunteering, becoming a trustee, accessing the services or simply want some more information can contact Liz Edwards on 01865 311172 or liz.edwards@cutteslowe.co.uk.

CCA thanks the city and county councils for their strong support they provide to help them deliver their activities.
