OXFORDSHIRE should feel mightily proud of the way it has rallied around the Maggie’s Cancer Caring Service appeal.
Already fundraisers have got half of the £3m they need to build a permanent centre to support cancer victims in the county.
Maggie’s Centres provide an invaluable service by supporting those at their lowest ebb.
A permanent centre at the Churchill Hospital would make a real difference to countless local families.
Our county has a terrific track record of raising money for good causes. Let’s hope the rest of the money needed is donated as soon as possible.
