Oxford United have released a statement about the jailing of Adam Chapman.
U's midfielder Chapman, 20, was jailed for 30 months at Nottingham Crown Court today for causing the death of a 77-year-old by dangerous driving.
Chapman, of Hillview Crescent, Clarborough, was also banned from driving for five years.
A statement released on the Oxford United website said the club has and will continue to support Chapman.
It added: "We would like to thank all supporters for their messages of support to both Adam and the club.
"The club would again like to offer their deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased."
