Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of jewellery from a house in Kingston Bagpuize.
Thieves broke into the property situated on the main route through the village, near to the Hinds Head public house.
Entry was gained through the rear ground floor window, and some 'high-value' jewellery was stolen.
The burglary happened between 9am and 8.30pm on Monday but details were only released today.
PC Maria Morrisey, of the Abingdon Burglary Team, says: “I am appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that they might have that will help with our investigations.
“If you saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or heard any loud noises then please get in touch.”
