A petition will be handed to city council planners tomorrow opposing proposals for a new two-storey Tesco store in Marston, Oxford.
Community campaigner Mick Haines has now collected 826 signatures from people against the plan, on the site of the former Friar pub.
Tesco claims the store could create up to 25 new jobs.
