SOME now clearly feel that it may have been a shade hasty to allow Greece into the European Union and, more specifically, the single currency.
Is it a coincidence that the clamours for admitting Turkey – that magnificent, geographically, historically and culturally all-European nation – into the fold seem to have abated somewhat?
