A SENIOR police officer who is accused of setting fire to a car appeared in court today.
Former Oxford area commander Chief Supt Jim Trotman, 44, appeared at Swindon Crown Court for a remand hearing.
He faces one charge of arson, two of fraud by false representation and one of perverting the course of justice. He was granted bail and ordered to reappear on July 16 to enter pleas.
