A CAR crash which left an Oxfordshire teacher dead has now claimed the life of her 19-month-old son.
Ellie Bongers died on Christmas Eve following a collision on the A4260 at Tackley on Sunday, December 20.
The 32-year-old’s son Joseph was left in a critical condition following the accident. Thames Valley Police yesterday confirmed Joseph had died.
Mrs Bongers, of Southdale Road, North Oxford, was a former acting head of English at Lord Williams’s School, Thame.
She died after suffering serious head and leg injuries. Her husband Richard was also in the silver Ford Ka when it collided with a Renault Clio at about 4.20pm. A 71-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving was bailed until June 3.
