Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was assaulted in Banbury.
At about 6pm yesterday, the victim was walking through Peoples Park in Bath Road, when he was approached by another boy. Another teenager then appeared who pushed him against a wall and assaulted him.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "There were around ten Asian teenagers, aged around 17 years old, who were involved in the incident. The boy managed to escape and run home."
The main offender was big built, had short dark hair and was wearing a green tank top with a cream jacket. The second offender was around 5ft 5in tall, with dark gelled back hair and was wearing a tracksuit.
PC Duncan Vale said: “A female walked past the group while the offence was taking place.
"I believe she may have been too scared at the time to intervene but I would now encourage her to contact police.”
Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact PC Vale via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505.
