A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class-B drug with intent to supply after officers carried out a stop check on his vehicle at Frilford.

At about 11.50pm on April 22, officers saw a car driving erratically along the Marcham Road in Frilford.

When officers stopped the vehicle and carried out a search of the driver the found a small quantity of cannabis and a further inspection of the vehicle uncovered nine ounces of the drug.

PC Gavin Chan said: “Driving while under the influence of drink and drugs puts both yours and other people’s lives at risk and will not be tolerated by Thames Valley Police.”

The man has been bailed to appear back at Abingdon police station on May 28.
