Police are appealing for witnesses after a series of burglaries and attempted break-ins in Shrivenham over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The first of these burglaries happened at a property in Fairthorne Way sometime between 9.30am on April 25 and 2.20am on Monday.

Thieves smashed their way into the property through a rear patio door and stole gold jewellery, including rings, necklaces, brooches and earrings.

The next attempted break-in happened sometime between 8am on Friday and 9pm on Monday at a property in Charlbury Road.

Thieves tried to force their way into the property through a side window, but failed to get into the house and damaged the window.

The last incident happened at a property in Fairthorne Way again sometime between 6.30am and 5pm on Sunday.

Thieves once again tried to smash their way through a window, but did not gain entry and left empty-handed.
