Police said today that a 19-month-old boy involved in a road crash near Tackley in December has died.
Joseph Bongers, from Southdale Road, Oxford, was travelling in a car involved in a collision on the A4260.
At about 4.20pm on Sunday, December 2009, the silver Ford Ka the boy was travelling in and a silver Renault Clio were involved in a head-on collision.
The boy's mother, Eleanor Bongers, 33, died as a result of her injuries on December 24, 2009.
A 71-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released on police bail until June 3.
