Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Banbury.
The 36-year-old woman was assaulted in Cromwell Road, following a 'verbal altercation' with another woman. She suffered injuries to her face, though these were not serious.
The assault happened shortly after 8pm last Wednesday but details were only released this afternoon.
PC Anthony Cossar said: “There were a number of people in the street at the time of the assault and I would like those people to come forward and speak with me about what they saw.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Cossar via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
