Lord Williams's (Thame) have been crowned Oxfordshire champions in the new national Daily Telegraph Twenty20 Under 15 Cup.

They triumphed by four wickets against Bloxham in the county final, and now go forward to face the Nottinghamshire winners next month.

The competition culminates with the national finals at Trent Bridge in September.

Bloxham were restricted to to 104-5 off their 20 overs, before Lord Williams's reached 105-6 with five balls to spare.

Mark Meredith led the way for the Thame lads with 36.

In the Oxfordshire Under 13 Cup semi-final, William Watts returned remarkable figures of 5-5 to secure Henry Box (Witney) an unlikely eight-run victory over Warriner (Bloxham).

Having been held to 65-7 with William Hicks taking 4-13, Henry Box looked to be facing defeat.

But then Watts took centre stage to skittle Warriner for 57.

In the Oxfordshire Under 14 League, Charlie Henderson smashed a superb unbeaten 112 to set Burford on the way to a 130-run victory over Marlborough (Woodstock).

Henderson's ton saw Burford amass 190-5 off 20 overs, before Marlborough were rolled over for 60, with Bram Coleman (3-13) and Marc Smith (3-16) doing the damage.

Burford booked their place in the Oxfordshire Under 17 Cup semi-finals with a nine-wicket win over Chipping Norton.

Ed Dunn took 3-25 as Chippy were bowled out for 95, and then Tom Geeson-Brown hit an unbeaten 61 to take Burford to 96-1 and top spot in their group.
