A feast of fun is being lined up for the 14th Motor Show run by our sister paper, the Oxford Mail, on Sunday.

The show, combined with a great summer craft fayre, which is being organised by Newsquest Oxfordshire, promises entertainment for the whole family.

The stars, as always, are the cars, but there will be much more, with something for everyone on the day from a children's fun fair to helicopter rides throughout the day.

Alongside the motor trade, motorcycle and charity stands, there will a marquee packed with more than 50 arts, crafts, lifestyle, jewellery and gift stands, along with displays of garden furniture. The Oxford Mail marquee will again be a hive of activity, alongside the ever-popular Oxford Mail bouncy castle and a host of giveaways. Outside, gymnastics displays, sponsored by Motorworld, will be mounted throughout the show. Fancy karting for you and ten of your friends? Go and see the FOX FM Road Runners for your chance to win a fantastic day karting with FOX FM and Karting Oxford, Oxford Stadium. The team will also have lots of FOX FM goodies and Adam Ball from The Breakfast Club will be there too. Other great prizes will be on offer from Motorworld dealers who will be giving showgoers a chance to win a car for a weekend.

Access Driving School is offering over-16s the chance to drive for the first time, or sharpen up driving skills, and the Driving Standards Agency will be on hand to put drivers through their paces on the theory side of driving. The event, which is established as the major showcase for motoring in the county, starts at 10am at Cutteslowe Park, Oxford, and runs to 4pm.

Sunday's show is the fifth year running we have staged the event at Cutteslowe Park, which has a host of attractions for the family, including a working model railway, a small animals enclosure, duck pond and aviary. For people thinking of buying a new car, the event is a perfect opportunity to browse around a huge showroom on one site, with most of the county's major motor dealers showing off their latest models. For fans of older vehicles, Thame Classic Motors will be mounting a display as will members of the Abingdon Mini Owners Club.

Exhibition organiser Joanna Fisher, of Newsquest Oxfordshire, said: "The motor show is always a great day out for all the family, and this year there will be even more to see and do with a great summer craft fayre." Major attractions on the day include:

  • An opportunity to see all the latest models from most of the county's main dealers on one site
  • Great range of charity, craft, gift and lifestyle stands
  • Opportunities to win a car for a weekend
  • Non-stop music, fun and competitions from FOX FM
  • Chance to meet FOX FM presenter Adam Ball
  • Catering stalls and stands
  • Bouncy castle and children's inflatables.

Entrance to the show will be £1 per car, with all proceeds going to the Oxford Children's Hospital Campaign.
