Sir, Why do the water companies and planners continue to pussyfoot around the whole issue of water. Water meters need to be installed in all properties, not just new properties. Our son lives in Cambridge. For years Cambridge has supplied water meters and fitted them free of charge.
New reservoirs need to be built. After ten years plus, the one proposed for Abingdon still has not been approved ten years plus to build, more like 15 years. Abingdon and Oxford have seen a gigantic growth in flats and apartments.
Still the water companies continue to have a poor record for repairing leaks. Action real speedy action needs to start now it needs to be seen quickly.
