MIKE Cook took 7-63 for Abingdon Vale as his medium pacers proved too much for Henley 2nd.

The visitors were indebted to Andy White's 34 for their final score of 150.

Andy Johnson (4-39) then reduced Vale to 10-2, 32-3 and 62-4, so it was left to Cook (44no) and veteran Ben Humpage (67no) to ensure there were no further alarms.

Martin Shepherd's unbeaten 107 helped Kingston Bagpuize amass 257-4 in an innings reduced to 48 overs by rain after they were put in by Tiddington.

Shepherd received useful support from Marco Cecchini (64) and wicket-keeper Rob Keates (51).

For the second week running, Tiddington saw one of their bowlers taken out of the game by injury, as Matthew Maule aggravated an old back problem while fielding.

Riaan Krynauw's 37 helped the visitors to 91-1 in the 17th over, but they were eventually all out for 169, Mo Seedat taking 4-29.

Cumnor off-spinner Matthew Neilson found the damp conditions much to his liking, taking five wickets for just six runs as Witney Mills were rolled over for 75.

Earlier, a half-hour interruption for rain, which saw Cumnor's innings reduced to 46 overs, failed to hold back the in-form Dan Gaunt, who hit a fine 66. Opener Graham Scott compiled a patient 93 as the home side declared after 41 overs on 245-6.

An unbroken 148-run stand between Tim Wyatt (76no) and Shane Faulkner (66no) gave Great & Little Tew victory over Bledlow Ridge.

Ridge struggled after choosing to bat first until Paul Brzezicki hit an unbeaten 36 to get the home side up to 165-6.

Tew were in trouble at 19-2, but then Wyatt and Faulkner made it look easy.
