GREAT & Little Tew 2nd teenagers Eddie Catling, Alex Kelly, Jack Taylor and Mikey Darby helped their side to an eight-wicket triumph over Bledlow Ridge 2nd.

The youngsters accounted for seven of the wickets to fall in Ridge's 128-8, an innings reduced by rain to 38 overs.

Tew had just 25 overs to bat in reply but needed only 21 as Dave Freeman (57) and Andy Darby (40no) clinched an eight-wicket win.

An opening stand of 126 between Andrew Smith (92) and Julian Lawton Smith (53) set Oxford 3rd on the way to 260-2 against Abingdon Vale 2nd.

Edward Baldock then hit 65 not out and Ross Buchanan 42 not out.

Chris Babbs (42) was the only Vale batsman to show any form against some fine bowling by Reg Finch (6-40) and Nathan Absalom (3-39), but the visitors clung on for a draw at 133-9.

Jim Howe was out for exactly 100 as Sandford St Martin 2nd racked up 228-4 after choosing to bat first at Tiddington 2nd. Andrew Goffe (42) and Paul Tew (33) also chipped in.

The hosts had a stab at victory, with Charlie Cox (66) and Richard Evans (46) batting well, but Trevor Simms took 6-53 to keep the runs in check and leave Tiddington hanging on at 190-8.

Mark Owen ripped through the Wolverton 2nd batting order to set up an easy win for Kidlington 2nd.

Owen took 7-53 as Town were bundled out for 94, and despite a minor scare when the visitors were 26-3, victory was assured through Mark Arnull (53no) and Tom Gubbins (34no).

Phil Jackson hit 84 and Richard Raine 49 in Leighton Buzzard 2nd 197-8 at home to Bourton Vale 2nd, Ryan Newhook returning 5-43.

Vale reached 203-2 in the 36th over thanks to Rob Langley's 75 not out and James Collett's 43.
