Demand is growing for a place at Ventura Park, Carterton. Agent David Williams of Berry Morris reports the development, which offers businesses a plot of land and the chance to commission a purpose-built unit, has attracted interest from as far as Northampton and London.
Mr Williams added: "The Park has already attracted significant demand, with 36 per cent of the development land sold, and five further plots under offer to local businesses within the first year of marketing."
The advantages of being based at Ventura Park include facilities such as a leisure centre next door, a retail development being built nearby and access to the town centre and the A40 via the new link road.
The new north-east Carterton residential development is also on the doorstep, offering staff housing within walking distance.
Ventura Park will also be the location for a new 48,000 sq ft industrial scheme, offering 15 freehold units, due for construction this year. Mr Williams added: "It is encouraging that companies are taking advantage of the benefits of locating their businesses in this area.
"With broadband, and other advances in working patterns, companies are able to be more flexible in their location, and take greater account of where their staff live, offering better working conditions.
"With so much housing development in the area, the advantages are fairly obvious."
