Bea's younger sister, Beth, also completed a middle-distance double, winning the 800m in 2.30.3, before taking the 1500m in 5.16.0.

Dominic, 50, was also in record-breaking form, as he clocked 55.1secs to win the Vet 50 400m and then recorded 2.04.3 in the 800m.

Abingdon's under 20 400m hurdler Jonny Lodowski eclipsed the field with a superb time of 55.2secs, before also easily taking the 400m in 50.4.

Bicester's Dave Kuester launched the javelin an aston- ishing 37.00m in the Vet 60 men's competition winning the event by a margin of almost 11 metres.

Elsewhere, Bruce Charles set new records in both the 100m hurdles and pole vault, while Oxfordshire AA president Barrie Strange (Oxford City) showed age is no barrier as he threw a record 29.42m in the Vet 70 discus.
