A milkman admitted receiving benefits he was not entitled to because he did not declare he had started full-time work.
Lee Dixon, of Bader Drive, Upper Heyford, appeared before Bicester magistrates, charged with dishonestly failing to report a change in circumstances for benefit purposes. Dixon received housing and council tax benefit worth £456.61 which he was not entitled to.
Magistrates told Dixon he should start repaying the money immediately, at £20 per week, and sentenced him to 40 hours' unpaid work.
A CHARLBURY man has been prosecuted for benefit fraud.
Kevin Knight, 24, of Ticknell Piece Road, pleaded guilty at Bicester Magistrates Court to fraudulently obtaining more than £500.
He was given a £220 fine and ordered to pay £75 in costs.
West Oxfordshire District Council said it would seek to recover the money.
