BANBURY 2nd's left-arm spinner Luke Ryan spent a day bowling at England and Australia in the nets at Bristol last week then put the experience into practice by taking 6-47 against Tiddington. Riaan Krynauw (49) and Neil Smith (40) took Tiddington to 167 all out in the 47th over after they were invited to bat. The two overs they conceded were to prove crucial. Ed Phillips hit 46 and Ian Tew 30 as Banbury were cruising on 110-2, before a collapse left them needing three to win from the final over, which was achieved when 16-year-old Ashley Blanchard hit the fourth ball for four.
