Luke Ryan staked his claim for a regular first team spot as Banbury 2nd leapfrogged Oxford Downs in the table with a crushing victory. The teenage spinner took 7-45 and Paul Hill added 3-30 as Downs collapsed to 117 all out, Chris Sandbach hitting 30. Chris Board (67) and Andrew Sabin (38) had helped Banbury to 248-9, with Goolam Bhayat (3-75) and Charlie Sutton (4-61) the pick of the Downs' attack.

Sandford St Martin won the battle of the basement boys with Bledlow Ridge thanks to a fine fifth-wicket partnership. Martin Anson (100no) and Nicholas Harrap (74no) steered the hosts to a six-wicket win, which took them off the bottom. Russell Turner (52) and Andrew Binnie (50) had helped Bledlow to 215-8.

Geof Alexander hit a century for Cumnor, but they could not prevent Witney Mills batting out for a draw. His 111 not out was backed up by Ayaz Khan (49no) and Ali Morteza (43) as Cumnor made an impressive 279-6. Ross Morgan (65), Andy Cannons (42no) and Peter Claridge (32) helped Witney to 168-5 at the close.

Matthew Latham steered Abingdon Vale to a six-wicket win at Wolverton Town after Robin Newman had starred with the ball. Newman took 5-60 in Wolverton's 131-9, Stefen Pichowski hitting 46. But Latham (64no) and Paul Lemon (42) ushered Vale to 135-4.
