Goolam Bhayat ripped through the Witney Mills batting to set up a thumping ten-wicket win for Oxford Downs. The South African finished with 5-35 as the visitors crumbled to just 64 all out. Downs raced to victory in 15 overs with Chris Sandbach making 31 not out. Victory takes them to second in the table and means they will be in confident mood for Saturday's trip to Banbury.

Jack Brooks starred with the ball as leaders Tiddington crushed Wolverton Town by 129 runs. The seamer took 6-55 to help skittle Wolverton for 94. Earlier, the home side reached 223, with John Talbot top-scoring on 51.

Ashley Pearson hit 93 not out for Banbury 2nd, who earned a competitive draw at Great & Little Tew. The home side reached 207-8, with Craig Cullen hitting 38, and then bowled well enough to deny Banbury victory as they replied with 192-8.

Abingdon Vale were too good for Bledlow Ridge, running out 38-run winners. Abingdon's 201-9 was built around useful knocks from Paul Edwards, Ben Humpage, Matt Chown and Matty Latham, who all got into the 30s. Andy Binnie followed up a five-wicket haul by top-scoring with 49 in Ridge's 163, Paul White (5-70) and veteran Robin Newman (4-57), taking the Vale bowling honours.

Cumnor climbed towards safety with a comfortable eight-wicket win over basement rivals Sandford St Martin. Sandford were dismissed for 141, much of which came from two layers, skipper Matt Palmer (36) and Martin Anson (34). Steve Slade returned excellent figures of 4-14. Cumnor made short work of the meagre target as Geofok Alexander (61no)
and Dan Gaunt (53) steered them to 144-2.
