Witney & District FA: Dave Cooper was Hailey's hero as his double secured a 3-2 victory over North Leigh A in Saturday's Premier Division clash.

In an end-to-end encounter, the scores were level at 2-2 at half-time, with Steve Evans and Danny McGing scoring for North Leigh.

Cooper and Sean King netted for Hailey to bring the scores level, but a second Cooper goal in the second half sent Hailey home with the points.

Runaway leaders Freeland dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a goalless draw by Brize Norton.

Ducklington failed to take advantage of Freeland's slip-up as they were beaten 2-0 at Carterton.

The hosts, who now close the gap on Freeland, moved into third place, with goals from Will Griffiths and Kevin Southwood.

Charlbury Town also maintained the pressure on the leaders as they recorded a 4-1 win over FC Nomads.

Andy Fielder scored for the home side, but Mark Dorey (2), Craig McCallum and an own goal sealed the points for Charlbury.

Spartan Rangers made it nine successive victories in the league as they continued their perfect start to the season in Division 1.

The victims this time were Eynsham, who lost 3-2, but they did not roll over easily.

In a hard-fought game, Paul Saunders, Steve Wright and Pete Jenkins were on target for Spartan.

Ducklington Res kept up the pressure as they saw off Fieldtown 1-0, Jake William Souch on target.

Carterton Res slipped to third as they lost 3-1 at Hanborough Res.

Martin Keylock, Jay Money and an own goal completed Hanborough's total, with Bradley Bryant replying.

Witney Wanderers thrashed Brize Norton Res 6-2.

Hot-shot Chris Bennell helped himself to another hat-trick, with Mev Gundem (2) and Mark Savill scoring the others.

Simon Moffatt and Steve Curney replied.

North Leigh B saw off Kingham AB 2-1 with goals from Kevin Davis and Luke Simmons. Miles Harding replied.

Nine-man Millpark lost 3-1 at West Witney Res.

Alex Vaughan, Tom Grainger and Pete Saunders were on target for West Witney, with Ian Luckett replying.

Bampton Town's eased past Division 2 rivals Carterton A 2-0, with goals from Joel King and Chris Jordan.

Real Islip thrashed FC Nomads Res 7-0, with goals .

Kevin James led the way with a double, with Liam Flynn, Joe Willet, Phil Stokes, Matt Emptage and Steve Simmons also on target.
