Police who caught the men behind the drive-by shooting of a Didcot teenager were among the latest to receive commendations from the Thames Valley's police chief.
Officers who solved a £100,000 eBay fraud and those who tried to save a teenager who died after a hit-and-run collision also received awards during a Chief Constable's commendation ceremony.
Firearms officers, acting Insp Paul Halstead and Pc Neil Huntley, were commended for catching Simon Roberts, 19, of Banwell Avenue, Swindon.
He admitted possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, wounding with intent and possession of a shotgun without a licence and was jailed for four years, after firing the shotgun at the boy in Didcot in August 2004.
The 14-year-old had to undergo surgery and was left peppered with scars on his back and buttocks.
Roberts was in his friend David Johnson's car with a gun. Johnson, 21, of West View Crescent, Devizes, Wiltshire, denied the same counts but was jailed for three years after admitting unlawful wounding, possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a shotgun without a licence.
Sgt Mark Cameron and Pc David Pink, of Didcot, were commended for their work solving the eBay fraud, after which Dan Gibbins, 25, was jailed for nine months for 696 offences which involved conning 1,000 victims worldwide.
