GLS Football Hellenic League - Chipping Norton Tn 0, Abingdon Tn 3: Abingdon Town ended a miserable run in the Premier Division with victory in Saturday's bottom-of-the-table clash.

Jason Mara and Jason Thomas went close for Town as did Ben Walsh and Jamie Clarke at the other end.

Tom Larman then curled in Town's opener past former Abingdon keeper Chris Brain.

His opposite number, Jon Beames, then denied Sean McKeon the equaliser with a block.

Just before the break, Abingdon made it 2-0 when Luke Beauchamp nodded home.

In the second half, Mara wrapped up victory with an effort from outside the area.

Brain denied Larman, before Chippy defender Raymond Thompson made a goalline clearance.

Milton Utd 1, Bishops Cleeve 2: A last-minute winner denied Milton a draw against their Gloucestershire opponents.

Milton were unlucky not to go ahead when Adam Beckett's goalbound header bounced over the keeper only to go wide.

In the second half, although Newell fired Cleeve ahead, Nathan Smith equalised.

But their joy didn't last with Kevin Slack netting an injury-time winner.

Purton 0, Letcombe 4: Richard Claydon hammered a hat-trick as Letcombe got back to winnings ways against their Division 1 West rivals.

The result was never in doubt from the eighth minute, when Richard Claydon curled a free-kick over the wall and into the bottom corner after he had been fouled.

Mark Brind should have made it 2-0, but his 20-yard effort came back off the underside of the bar.

But it wasn't long before Claydon doubled their lead with his second, rounding the keeper before slotting home.

Minutes into the second, Claydon completed his treble when the ball fell to him after Adam Pendell was brought down by keeper Robert Negus.

Halfway through the second half, Pendell netted No 4 despite being fouled.

Letcombe relaxed, but Purton failed to hit the target with two good chances.

Malmesbury Vic 2, Clanfield 1: A second-half strike from Nick Forrester was not enough as Clanfield lost against the ten-man Wiltshire side.

Clanfield suffered a blow after only five minutes when Smith scored for the home side.

Malmesbury were reduced to ten when they had a man sent off for foul and abusive language.

Clanfield dominated, but failed to capitalise. And they were made to pay when Smith doubled their advantage.

Although Forrester pulled a goal back it was too litrlle too late as Malmesbury held on.

Chinnor 3, Banbury Utd Res 0: Ryan Davies hit a brace as Chinnor eased home in Division 1 East.

Mark Jones put Chinnor ahead, with Davies making it 2-0. After the break, Davies wrapped up his double with No 3.
