OXFORD City lost their unbeaten Spartan South Midlands Premier Division record after a 1-0 defeat at Aylesbury Vale scoring a winner six minutes from time.
Adam Durrant was unlucky to see his shot come back off the upright in the first half, and Lewis Craker's header came back off the inside of the post in the second.
John Byrne hooked in Vale's winner six minutes from time.
