Wootton & Boars Hill won the Steve Dixon Cup on Sunday, beating Chalgrove by 84 runs.
Although their total of 162 looked average, a superb opening spell of bowling by Damian Wiskin and David Churchhouse restricted Chalgrove to 12-5 in the opening seven overs and set Wootton up for victory.
Batting first, Brad Lind was the main thorn in Chalgrove's side, hitting 46.
Wayne Morton (42) and James Studd (37) kept the scoreboard ticking along, but when they were out, the big score they looked like getting did not materalise, and they were forced to settle for 162.
Lawrence Harvey took 3-24.
However, Chalgrove made a disastrous start at the hands of Wiskin and Churchhouse to leave them with a mountain to climb.
Although they tried to fight back, they had no answer as Lind claimed 3-18, and Wiskin 3-19 off his nine overs.
