Over recent weeks you have published several letters about traffic in and around Oxford and most point out the problems caused by to many buses.
The fact most people fail to grasp is, the bus operators are only interested in profits and the more buses the more money they make.
The only time you see them full is during the rush hour. Other times of day you can see them gridlocked up the High Street to Carfax with only one or two passengers (not enough to cover fuel costs).
So what, the council will subsidise them.
The councillors are happy so long as they get their free parking for council meetings and when pollution is mentioned they either disagree with the figures or blame the poor motorist who is prohibited from using the city centre where pollution is at its worst.
