More than £200,000 worth of Premium Bond prizes are yet to be claimed by lucky winners in Oxfordshire.

A search is under way to find more the 3,640 winners who have scooped prizes ranging in value from £25 to £1,000.

In the South East prizes worth £3.2m have gone unclaimed, with Oxfordshire residents holding six per cent of the prize money.

According to National Savings and Investments, one of the main reasons prizes are not claimed is because one in four people fail to notify NS&I of their new address when they move home.

There is no time limit on claiming and the company is urging customers to get back in touch as quickly as possible.

Sally Swait, Premium Bond manager at NS&I, said: "It is remarkable that we need to remind customers to claim any prize, particularly those worth £1,000."

The biggest £1,000 winners in the county are a man and woman in South Oxfordshire, a man in North Oxfordshire, a woman in West Oxfordshire and a man in East Oxfordshire.
