RATS and raw sewage are posing a potential health danger in Banbury in the wake of the weekend's floods.
Tony Lee, of West Street, said: "There are dead rats around here. They have come up from the sewers.
"In Victoria Place, water came in up to eight inches above the windowsill. It's alive with rats there."
Other families have reported raw sewage flowing in streets and gardens.
More than 200 people were forced to leave their homes in the town when the Oxford Canal and River Cherwell burst their banks last Thursday.
Many homes were flooded and the Spiceball Park leisure centre suffered £1m worth of damage.
