FIREFIGHTERS are warning children to keep out of derelict buildings after youngsters playing in an old factory set light to rubbish.
Fire crews were called to the blaze in Cave Street, off St Clements, Oxford, last night.
They saw children in hoods and believe they started the fire on the first floor of the factory which has been empty for six months.
Sub-officer Matthew Morgan said the youngsters fled. He said: "We're warning kids not to play in derelict or disused buildings. They are unsafe and it is difficult to get out of the place when there's a fire.
"They had broken windows to get into the factory. It is easy to get in but if there is a fire it is not as easy to get out in a rush."
Police are investigating.
